Just wondering what they are.. There are some threads I am apparently not allowed to post in, and I'm assuming it has something to do with my just having a basic membership here, but I'm wondering what are the specific rules..like why are certain ones allowing me and not others?

I believe the only threads that can't be posted in are "locked". You'll see a padlock on the threadlist. Which specific thread are you referring to?

Oh I see now a padlock on the side for the "kill stories and race videos." That's where I was trying to post. I was confused because I've been able to post in other threads whenever I want. Why are they locked and why are some people apparently able to post there anyway? Thanks.

I believe street racing and "kill" stories are no longer allowed. The only members who can post on locked threads are the admins and moderators.

Read the sticky thread in that section and you will get a better idea of why it was locked. No one followed the rules so the whole section is locked out right now. Maybe in the future it will reopen.
Also I am moving this thread out of the lounge to the site news and feedback section as the Administrador will see it faster.

Yeah I guess it wouldve made more sense for me to post it there in the first place, but thanks for the info guys..I just never knew about the lock thing at all. I'll ask another question while I'm at it: As a basic member, is it possible for me to use a pic from my computer for an avatar? I see the video avatar option but not a pic option.

Ok actually I just found the answer to my own question, though i've had that question for weeks. so, never mind then.
