Earlier this week I couldn't get on the forum, there was a message that the server was not available. Now it's back but I noticed that it doesn't tell us how many posts the members have anymore. Is that an error or a change to the forum?

It's a forum change to hopefully help cut down on spam posts. Some people were posting junk to pad their postcount.
