: Looking at a '94 FWB

Hopefully going to get to road test one Tues.

What things should I keep in mid when looking at '94-'96 Fleetwoods?

3 owner car w/moonroof. How can a tell if it's a factory roof or not?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the best way to tell a factory moonroof from an aftermarket one is the headliner. On a factory one the headliner will look just like it does on any other car, flat all around. On an aftermarket one there will be a section of the headliner that is lower which makes a place for the sunroof to go when you open it.

Also look at the handle for the sunroof cover. If it matches the headliner, its factory, if its black plastic then its aftermarket. I could be wrong on this though, but I've seen a couple of aftermarket jobs with black plastic handles.

After market moonroof- retains vanity mirrors in headliner

Factory moonroof- no vanity mirrors

I have had Fleetwoods with both and they ok structurally and mechanically, but not quiet like the moonroof in new cars.

How many miles are on this Fleetwood? Check the level ride, front end suspension, optispark (hesitation), window rollers, and pretty much anything you would check on a vehicle purchase.

These cars are pretty low maintenance and most of it is do-it-yourself.

Check out the body for damage. Body parts are no longer in production and are hard to find in good used condition.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

I plan to have my friend who is a mechanic check it out. I'm not a fan of the gold grill and wheels but that's a minor issue of course.

wow, that is nice!

Thanks, hopefully the car is what I think it is, a nice driver.

The owner has been very upfront about the cars' seemingly minor issues.

We'll see what my friend thinks of it.

Those are Vogue wheels, and they are quite rare...

Actually the deal wasn't coming together, so I bought a black '93 FWB that I'll post about in a new thread.
