The head units in the 04 and the 06 should be the same-they both have Class 2 data bus.

This is a good question, because I was interested in the conversion myself. If I could get my hands on an 06 wheel, I'm sure I could get it to work. The options are in my Nav system tto get them to work so it's a matter of working them in.

I looked at buying an 06 wheel for my 04 and Luke said the part numbers are different and was not sure if they would work.

It is actually in the same spot as a chevy truck on the column where are fogs are.

The HUs are the same so this would be an interesting experiment. I would imagine you would still need to plug in a Tech 2 and 'reprogram' the radio as an 06 or 07 to enable the SW options. It may work.

It may work but you wont be able to look at the different monitor screens. Lateral g's, trans temp, oil temp, etc.

Dude, seriously. Have you read the FAQ? :tisk:

http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/vswc/index.html

This guy's fab seems pretty fly-by-night, but I bet you could use the wiring info for your own purposes. And read the FAQ. The search function on the forum here can be pretty hit-or-miss, but the FAQ is pure swayde. :worship:

I do not believe it will work without SERIOUS fabing. The hook ups on the speedometer clusters are not the same, the ECUs are different and the cruise control is way different.
