I have a 2000 Catera and had the engine replaced and the cooling system cleaned less than 10K miles ago. The reasoning for this was there was oil showing up in the coolant reservoir and the mechanic told me I likely had blown head gaskets or a cracked head. The mechanic is pretty legitimate and was really fair on what he charged me. Now I have started seeing the beginnings of the same problem again. Before I go get in his face I wanted to know if there is any area where oil and water are close enough for the oil to get into the water system other than the engine. Could there be a leak inside the radiator in the oil cooler? There is no water on the oil side of the engine to be seen and having seen the new engine crated and know it was legit I hope I didn't get a bad one. Any idea's, thoughts, or ways I could test to see what this is would be much appreciated.
