Silver, I've followed several of your other posts and seen your vids of your runs. As far as I know, you're the only person to run a 13 sec quarter mile in a non-V STS. If you hit the 12's, I'll buy you a case of beer. Make it happen!

'05 STS4 black-
first Macguire's full cleaning treatment to keep that black shining!
1)Smoke out ALL exterior lights
2)Refinish stock 18's to a textured flat black (dont want to get other rims and mess up the handeling)
3)Install Shallow mount 12" pioneer woofer with custom box to replace factory sub (false trunck ceiling only lowering clearance by about 2")
4)Install government hd converter box and use it through the aux input as an HD TV tuner
5)And if I go crazy overboard install police PA so I can yell at the slow mofos to get out of my way! (not counting on doing this one)

If you can use that HD converter box to receive tv signals in your car, you gotta post up how. That is a fantastic idea.

Ok, so what I am planning - got the converter through dish network. This one has a 5v DC input with the transformer in the plug. So I am going to make a moded DC cigarette lighter power cord for it. I will install a hidden aux power plug under the center console. I will mount the box upside-down above the passanger feet under the dash. For an antenna I will try using the coax with a y-adapter on the radio antenna. If that doesnt work I'll get one of those that lines the window edge. As for the input just have loose a/v cables in the center console I can plug and remove into the aux input. Considered putting an a/b switch somewhere but decieded didnt really need it.

Some converters are already 12V-DC (Artec T3AP Pro) , just toss the wall-wart power supply. It fits in the armrest. I like the idea of mounting under the passenger seat. I'd bet the remote infrared signal could be 'bounced' off the dash like the ceiling of a room.

Don't mess with your radio antenna, the Bose will suffer with the 3dB signal loss. If car radio's could share antenna's effectively, cop-cars wouldn't be porcupines. Use an FM-Radio di-pole antenna, easy to hide. I get 42 digital TV Channels from Milwaukee, around 15 miles away.

I couldn't find a converter that qualified for the $40 coupon, was 12V-DC & has the Smart-Antenna that can be electronically 'tuned' (i.e. directional) by the converter. If not as cheap as me, you have many antenna options. :)

Remember, broadcast video on a screen a driver can see is dangerous and illegal. It doesn't cost much to do, though!

these are pics of my car laid out on air ride from May 2008, it looks different as of now, due to blacked out all exterior lights, 12000k hid kit headlights and fogs, and blue LED DRLs....

i am not planning on selling my EGX body kit, because i plan on mixing parts of it with the d3 body kits... i plan to have all that work done by end of may the latest, if plans go well

Wow very dark. Looks great! I am doing 40% front and 15% rear on saturday. Don't want to attract too much attention from our freinds in blue, especially RCMP around here hates the front windows tinted.

Is there an x-pipe to replace the central resonator? (for a v8) I would be interested in doing that mayhaps.. Find mine just a bit too quiet, and the X-pipe is supposed to be great for 90 degree V8's
