I would love to get my stockers done like that, along with the stock grille!

I have looked into it, and there are a few reasons why I have not done this. It is very expensive and the turnaround times I was quoted are long. I have not found a place that will do a wheel exchange like they do with regular chrome wheels. Also there is a lot of bad feedback on the durability of the coating. It apparently flakes off easily. That said, I think black chrome wheels are some of the best looking wheels out there.

^^^dat, and the turntimes were over two months. Black Chrome cannot be appreciated until you see it in person. It is still available through some vendors, but I have been told the Environment Police are cracking down on it.

Ever since I saw some G37 thing with 'em on last summer, I've thought they looked really nice ... really nice! But, for anyone who takes their wheels off and on a number of times in the course of a season, the lack of durability on the finish would make it completely impractical. Too bad, too.

I am about to pull the trigger on a set. My local wheel shop is sending them off for me. Turn around is two weeks. My car will be on jacks stands because these stock wheels are so hard to come by........

I wonder why the durability is so poor for this finish. You would think some quality clear would be all it would take to keep it together. Chrome rims seem to hold up fine.

I have chromed stockers that have some flaking sitting in the garage. I might do this but you guys saying the durability of black chrome is not that good has me wondering if i should get mine rechromed or black chromed.
