Im 60% sure im hitting the track tonight! i have i/h/e no tune, we will see what it can do any advice about the burnout box? i have not attempted a full burnout since ive owned the car because i felt the hop coming. Sadly i usually do a donut before i race on the street if i need to heat them which cant be done at the track lol.
So should i just avoid the water and suffer a weaker launch

I wouldn't bother with a burnout...just launch low rpm and ride it out....haven't been out there since moroso closed...I'm sure it's much nicer....test n tune tonight I guess?

If you don't do a burnout, youre going to hop like a mofo into 2nd gear!

1. Do a light burnout to remove any debris from the pits.

2. STAGEUP at about 2100 rpms, and let the clutch pedal out to where its about to grab, and hold it there

3. Start slipping the clutch out on the last yellow, and completely let the clutch out with a light knee jerk once you feel the tires hook up.

4. Don't be too agressive on the 1-2 shift, slam the rest of the gears (only if you got good tires though)

Yes, it's noticeably a lot nicer. Though they had more plans that I think are being cancelled because nobody is buying their outrageously expensive year-round tickets.

When the tires are warm on the street i have left @ 3k before the only thing concerning me is the burnout im scared of breaking something i dont know if i should bother with a 3k slip after the water to see if i can spin them clean aleast and not hop to hell.

Dont't sweat the brurnout You can do one fairly easily from 2nd. It will hop just a tad at first, then will just spin. I would only dop it enough to clean the crap off your tires though, you don't want to get the tires too sticker or KERRR-SNAAAAP.

Video or Ban!

I ran 13.3 @ 98 coasting halfway down the track from like 900 feet on...thats on 19" wheels, full weight, half tank of gas, a burntout clutch and a 2.1 60 foot...you should def be able to muster 12's. I know I will next time I go out to PBIR. You should of told me you were going, I would of joined you.....

 The clowns sprayed water all the way across so they gave me no choice i tried to do a burnout while praying and it banged so hard i almost shit myself i need to get inserts, i only did 3 passes i was not going to shatter my diff. i was rolling out like it was a stop light and 2nd gear hopped like a mofo lol i went 13.1@110.8 was my best pass one i let off because it hopped so bad 13.7@107 the other was a 13.2@109.8 with wheel spin hop.

BTW LOL @ tech i did not bring a helmet nothing they don't check NOTHING at all anymore.

How did your friend with the s2k and rex do? Sorry I didn't make it out there, was passed out by 8

What are the helmet rules down here? For some reason I thought you needed it once you broke into the 12s.

If you get a chance, I would love to see your full breakdown. Curious how you did on the backhalf of the track.
What were your 60's?

Tech is a complete joke there was cars trapping almost 140mph with no cage the rex went 12s with no helmet i had no helmet you need a helmet for 13s they don't care lol.

I think every V-1 that goes to the track has more in it, thats what I say every time I go to the track with my V-1. But as you experienced, the wheel hop doesnt let it happen. We are all faced with that challange when we hit the 1320 in our Vs IMO.

945....who are you going to have tune your car?

what are you being quoted? and your doing the cam install yourself? Can you give me contact info for Johan.

AlmostAV

also, does this Mase guy have references? I have never heard of that name, or of Stage 6.....are they credible to tune our cars? will they put time and effort in to ensure its done properly....and not simply change the spark and timing and call it a day....as Im looking for much more than that.

He tunes all kinds of cars ever heard of JOES TT FORD GT makes 1300rwhp:bouncy: he tuned my friends S2k in this thread.

and also not sure if you saw this post....but

what are you being quoted by johan/mase? and your doing the cam install yourself? Can you give me contact info for Johan.

im doing my cam myself, johan quoted me 300 for a cam tune, mase 400 hes my 2nd resort as i don't want to drive untuned for a week till i can see johan next weekend.

Johan@diablosport.com i believe

Something to be wary of, according to his website, he has no experience with lsx based engines....and is only familiar with sct (which mostly is used for ford) but still has GM compatible software, but its relatively in its earlier stages (not as much history and use on our platforms as compared to HP tuners, efilive etc)

Seems like he is more familiar with turbo based platforms....

Id still be interested though if the price was right.

do you have to buy the diablosport handheld in order for Johan to tune?

945liter, you're so LUCKY!!! You got an elevation of 21ft above sea level!!! Dang!! I wish my track was that low!! :(. Us Arizona guys are stuck at 1,243ft at firebird raceway. :(
