Ok, i am lookin to shave off a few more moves and time while acceleratin to, in and out of a corner....

I have seen these on just about every race car, and the benefits are weight and speed...

So, now the question beacons, where can i find one that will drop right in????

I'm pretty sure there's at least one company that makes a sequential shift kit for the T56. The Aston Martin Vantage uses a paddle-shifted, clutchless T56. The technology is already out there, just open up your wallet and it's yours!

Don't worry. After you put in a race bred sequential gear box you won't hear the small whine from your diff.

Naf,

I saw your post and sent off a message to Holinger about sourcing a box. When I hear back I will let you know.

Gear noise has nothing to do with a transmission being sequential or not, nor does a sequential gearbox need to be "race bred." There are numerous high end sport/luxury cars with paddle-shifted sequential gearboxes. As I already posted, Aston Martin puts a sequential paddle-shifted T56 (you know, the same transmission that's in our cars?) into the Vantage.

Dog boxes with straight cut gears make lots of noise. But a sequential gearbox does not have to be a dog box.

Ya i am sorry, but autos are for girls...

If you are going to get a performance car then it better come with a manual...I passed by my Chevy dealer, and 10 09 CTS-vs are comin in autos...I went to Audi and the RS6, & R8 are AUTOS!!!! i asked why, you disrespect the car with an auto, they respond, we would never sell a manual here in Q8...I asked if they would bring in one manual for me..Still waitin...

Mat, i look forward to your reply, thanx a lot...

Trukk, if only. if only...I just want to play with the big boys and keep that sleeper look about me...Once i can play with the stock 7.0L then i would be happy...

And why do you want to switch your manual for a sequential...But wouldn't buy an automatic?

I say do a direct drive from the crank to the diff. No shifting!

LOL I love it.

I will in the mornin, i am sorry for the delay. Work has me spinnin...

Autos again are for girls, plus you loss a big chunk of hp turnin the torque convertor...With this sequential tranny, i get to have the quick shifts of an auto, but keep my manhood with the manual part... PLUS i get to pick my own gears...

MATT, you are the man..I will wait your on your next more important email with bottom lines and $$$$...

I am shavin just about everything to the limit...If it doesnt have a purpose, i removed it...If the car will still work with it out, i removed it...I even grinded down the weldin splatter on the frames...Its weight that doesnt have to be there, so its GONE!!!

So far i have kept the stock look, but pretty soon i will have to resort to Race car looks when i install the roll bars..
