It even has the factory CD player that still works! I am averaging 18 mpg during my daily commute.
Take care,
Elias I~LUV~Caddys8792 03-01-09, 12:16 PM I love that color combo! Are you gonna do anything with the E&G Grille? thefleetwoodguy 03-01-09, 12:27 PM WOW thats sure is a clean one! really like the beige interior
what kind of a deal did you get, if you dont mind saying
I like the snappy throttle response on the tbi, they really leap off the line
nice score:worship: 96Fleetwood 03-01-09, 01:45 PM Thanks!
The E&G grill is going to stay. I was going to take it off, but it looks ok.
I have ~$3,700 in it because it needed a new Radiator.
Weird thing is this '93 5.7 TBI feels much stronger than any of the '90-92 TBI Broughams I have owned. jayoldschool 03-01-09, 03:05 PM Congrats! You made the right choice on the trade. What is the rear ratio (compared to the old ones)?
I kind of like it with the stocks and Vogues, especially since you have the other one... the SS wheels and Cad caps are nice, though... I~LUV~Caddys8792 03-01-09, 03:13 PM Elias, is this your first '93 Brougham? 96Fleetwood 03-01-09, 03:58 PM Thanks, I am really enjoying driving it. I think it was a good trade, especially since I got some cash plus the '93 Brougham for the Tahoe. The Tahoe started to get annoying, I couldn't drive it anywhere with a parking garage and the 9mpg w/ premium gas was horrid.
This is my first '93 Brougham. So far I have had two '96s, one '95, one '92, and two '91s.
I took the Vogues off because they rode terrible. They appear to be old and upon closer inspection, one of them has a bubble in the sidewall. dirt_cheap_fleetwood 03-01-09, 07:08 PM I took the Vogues off because they rode terrible. A bubble is an understatement. I just got back from Elias's house and that bubble is more like a tumor. He also let me drive it and it is a great car.
I also got a ride in the '96. Best car ride ever. :2thumbs: :D 96Fleetwood 03-01-09, 09:46 PM Thanks for coming over JD. Your '90 Brougham is a great purchase! I love these Cadillacs, I can't get enough of them.
I should have taken traction control off on the '96, that would have been a more spirited ride ;)
Take care,
Elias Cadillac_Fan 03-01-09, 11:33 PM Superb acquisition. What a magnificent car. Do those Broughams have illuminated electroluminescent crests on the roof? dirt_cheap_fleetwood 03-02-09, 12:04 AM Superb acquisition. What a magnificent car. Do those Broughams have illuminated electroluminescent crests on the roof?
No. The only cars that had that were the '91-'93 Fleetwood Sixty Specials, which are based off the FWD DeVille chassis. Mine has the opera lamps on the B pillar (they work and look awesome at night) but they were discontinued for the '93 model year. 96Fleetwood 03-02-09, 12:17 AM The funny thing is that the '92-96 Buick Roadmasters had the opera lamps....weird that they didn't put them on the Fleetwoods. And after the Impala SS wheels w/Caddy centers & new Pirelli Pzeros:
Did you get the PZero Rossos? I am seriously considering getting those tires on my Impala SS wheels. 96Fleetwood 03-02-09, 02:59 PM Did you get the PZero Rossos? I am seriously considering getting those tires on my Impala SS wheels.
I got the Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S because of their high treadwear & Z speed rating. So far so good, only some slight road noise. And after the Impala SS wheels w/Caddy centers & new Pirelli Pzeros:
Do the stock lug nuts off of the Cadillac work with the Impala SS wheels? I'm getting ready to put my Impala SS wheels on for the first time... 96Fleetwood 03-03-09, 12:41 PM As long as the lug nuts are from an aluminum Cadillac wheel, they will work on the aluminum SS wheels.
The only lugs that do not work on the SS wheels are the ones that come on the 9C1 & standard steel wheels.
Post some pictures later! pompste 03-04-09, 11:15 PM Man---that is one prime looking ride! If i may ask,did you have to travel some distance to get it? If so,how far did you have to travel? 96Fleetwood 03-04-09, 11:48 PM Man---that is one prime looking ride! If i may ask,did you have to travel some distance to get it? Thanks! Actually this '93 was owned by a friend of mine. He gave me some cash & this '93 Fleetwood for my Tahoe. 93DevilleUSMC 03-05-09, 09:10 PM Would this be dark cherry? Beautiful car, Elias! 96Fleetwood 03-05-09, 11:48 PM Would this be dark cherry? Beautiful car, Elias!
Thanks! Yes, it is Dark Cherry Metallic. 93DevilleUSMC 03-06-09, 09:11 PM Also, you stated that the TBI in your `93 feels stronger than the TBIs in the 90-92 Broughams. Is it possible that your friend modified it, or is that extra strength from the factory? Want to buy it ;) ?
I have been test driving newer cars the last two weeks. If I sell this Brougham, a Trailbalzer SS, G8 GT, GTO, or gen 1 CTS-V might be in store :cool2: dirt_cheap_fleetwood 03-09-09, 10:00 PM Already? That has to be a record. :) Have you even gotten the title in the mail yet?
A GTO with the 6.0 in it would be sweet. dirt_cheap_fleetwood 03-10-09, 04:01 PM Elias, this is just calling your name. http://www.cadillacforums.com/cadillac-classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4995 Elias, this is just calling your name. http://www.cadillacforums.com/cadillac-classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4995
The soda I was drinking just went all over the keyboard and monitor. That vehicle is insane. I had to stop for a second to get my bearings on how big a 572 cu in motor is. That's 9.4 litres. Going to go find it on Youtube now... dirt_cheap_fleetwood 03-11-09, 12:23 AM I have known about that car for a long time since I saw the video about a year ago. I never expected to see it on here for sale and I think that price is just a little high. caddycruiser 03-12-09, 12:17 AM Already? It's okay, this kind of turn around is pretty typical;)
There's always a few things desired, and when the deals work, they work. Elias and, now, I know this well. Cadillacboy 03-13-09, 07:17 PM You are a Big Body addicted :highfive: I know I"m on the market for another late model Cad. I am almost through with my 4.9 Sedan Deville w/ 161k and finding out how much the struts will cost, I don't think I can stand it anymore. I have always kept my Cadillacs up, however, I refuse to put any more $ into this one. |
