Yeah, that's my take too.
I've driven the Nordschleife, as quickly as I could at the time which is to say (having zero experience there, no instructor, and a 2/3-wet track) not very - but I'd never put a lap time on a sticker unless it were my own (and unless it were respectable.)
If that was on the back of an 09 CTS-V, I wouldn't think it was anything other that the representation of what the car did around the Ring. Now if you're someone who tracks the car, I might see in those circles where some would have exception seeing it there. But again a difference would be whether you were recognizing the car's achievement on The Ring record or you're some poser making false claims. If the car was taken to shows that could only help with questions concerning what it is about and what the car did, to the general public. As long as it's Commemoration and not Representation.

Ive got a ribbon on my CTS now to support breast cancer. Every other badge and sticker is gone tho...

I'm not a stickerz guy either, but I do have a VIR sticker on my window cause I loved the place so much. But only on the window. Which is why I ordered an etched glass for the window. No stickerz on paint...
