Holy smokes Arizona :eek: Your car has been in production for how long? Did your dealer have an allocation for a V2 when you made your order? As vperl said, at this rate, I might see mine by July!

It hasn't been in production that long. When the order was first placed the Recaros were on constraint. When they came off constraint then the CTS plant closed for the extended holiday. The build date that I received initially was 02/23/09. The status code is currently 3400, so it's in production. I thought it was only supposed to take 4-5 days for construction, but apparently I was wrong.

I guess it will arrive when it arrives. I've waited for cars before and I have found that patience is definately a virtue. When I get the call that the car has arrived I will go down to the dealership and just be happy that I'm able to afford and enjoy such an impressive car. A few years from now when I am enjoying the car, the delay of a few months will be entirely forgotten.

thwy had some cars built and pulled offline waiting for some seats. We have a car that has been built since Feb.

The status code is currently 3400, so it's in production. I thought it was only supposed to take 4-5 days for construction, but apparently I was wrong.

It will stay in code 3400 until the seats (or any other part they're waiting for) arrives. So, don't assume a 3400 code means that the car will get finished up 5 days later. If there are part constraints, it'll stay at 3400 for... however long.

They still don't know WHEN it will actually ship, but it sounds like QC has been completed, so it looks like the hard part is over, and I will actually end up with a v2 in the not too distant future ... :D

Sorry it took so long to respond. I've been out driving. I can't wait 'till I'm done with the break in period. I want to stomp on it. But I have to say it feels glued to the road. If I didn't know better I would say that it has ground effects holding it down. Freeway curves posted at 40 feel completely stable at 80 in this thing.

The people who have reported that it just pulls and pulls and pulls as you accelerate are right. Although I haven't given it more than about half throttle, it still just keeps pulling until I let up. It definitely puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. My wife took it today to visit a friend of hers 150 miles away so I'm driving her Prius around. Let's just say I'm feeling horsepower envy right now.

The one thing that I'm a bit disappointed with so far are the Recaro seats. I'm not sure if it's a problem with mine since I have not sat in any others, but no matter how I adjust the seat the lumbar support is too high. It's nearly in the center of my back. I've pressed all the buttons and adjusted it every which way I can and it still seems too high. If that's the case I will need to put some padding along the back of the seat to make it more comfortable. It is not that the seat it too firm, because it's not. It is that it doesn't seem to adjust to my back properly.

When my wife returns tommorow with the V I'm sure I'll be out driving some more. I can't wait.

^Have you tried raising the seat bottom and tilting it forward? It took a couple of weeks of driving and fiddling until I got everything just right, but it was worth it. Lumbar at lowest position fits right into the small of my back now.

Kentucky isn't far from MI, so I would imgagine it's a short 18 wheeler drive to your dealership. MapQuest the directions from the plant to your dealership. That will tell you the driving time... ;)

Thanks for the service you're providing the folks here on the forum, specially for the ones that didn't order through you. Question: does GM update ETAs after the vehicle has been shipped? My invoice's ETA is 1 April (April Fools!) It's now 3 April, and the truck hasn't rolled in yet.

Ipicked my V up yesterday and the computer still shows 3800.

Update: it's at the "Annapolis Junction" and will hopefully be in Alexandria next week. Now.. it takes about an hour to drive from Annapolis to Alexandria. Not a week. I guess they're waiting till they have enough cars to load up on the truck.

Is there a problem delaying production? The guys with the order date the weekend before mine got their car produced in 3 weeks. Originally, you said it would be about 2 weeks, when I placed the order the last week of March. My estimated delivery date came up 5/4 and now its slipped to 5/25??? What's up. Can they be titled as 2010's :)

Mine as well. Ordered March 13, original build date was April something. Then I was told May 4, now
I'm told May 25. There must be a wait on some parts. Only my guess. All good things are worth
waiting for.

Guys, Scott is the man to get you a V. He just told me my V arrived at his dealership today, and it wasn't even scheduled to be built until this week. Scott was able to order the car exactly as I wanted (with Recaro seats and manual trans), had allocation, monitored the build status closely, and honored GMS pricing! Given the plant shutdown, if you have a V on order through Scott you can trust that he is doing all he can to get it built before the shutdown. Scott does have connections with GM that other dealerships do not. If you are considering a V purchase, I strongly suggest you give Scott a call.
