Hi, I'm new to this amazing forum for us Caddy owners. Just wanted to say thanks to all the members for supplying a plethora of information for all who are interested. I am the proud new owner of a 2006 3.6 STS4. For one reason or another both rims on the passenger side of my car are pitting. Now I am looking at a set of 20" rims for the car. The specs for the rims are as follows:
Width: 8.5
Diameter: 20
Offset: 40
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.50 or 5 x 114.3
I have seen that most people are using 255 30 20, I was wondering if I would be able to use 255 35 20 on all four corners? I live in NYC and the higher profile the better for my proposed rims and my STS4 in general. Also, will this particular rim fit with these tires properly on this vehicle? Iím worried about rubbing on the fender and against the suspension components. Thanks for your time in advance.....

Go here and put in the stock size, then the new size you are going to use.

It will give you the difference in size, which is fairly small.
I'm went 245.35.20 for the fronts on a 8.5 rim.
Since it's still winter I have not mounted them up yet, but I woudn't worry about any rub issues with the sizes you are talking about.

Thanks for the info, any ideas on the offset issue? Do you think the offset would be fine with clearing the calippers and whatnot?

I ran 20"s on my 05 STS last summer same sizes tires all around. You will get a lot of road noise and a rough ride. There is no rub. looks good.

I think bolt pattern is 5x115 not 5x114.3. You may want to check into that before purchasing.....

You can run a 5x114.3 bolt pattern on the vehicle as long as there is a proper hub centric ring installed as well as the wheel is installed properly. I will be doing this on my car since i will change wheels way to often and selling 5x115 only wheels is harder than a big body Lexus 5x114.3 fitment :)
