What are the options for upgrading/changing the receiver and speakers for the Allante? What receivers can fit in the dash? What speakers will fit this car?
Thanks!

I probably spent more than $500 last year getting the stock radio (not CD) working again with parts from AllanteSource and labor for my mechanic. I was hoping to use the car as a summer daily driver, but it will probably stay as a weekend only car. carnut 02-24-09, 01:47 PM Easiest upgrade is to replace each 25 watt amp in each enclosure with a 50 watt from a 91 or 92 Allante. Allantesource 03-02-09, 12:09 AM We do have a high output upgrade to the original 1989/90 amps that probably surpasses the volume of the 50 watt units in the '91/'92. We only do them by special order and the cost is an extra $30 per amp ($120 versus $90). You'd have to do all 4 of them or the volume would be unbalanced. | |
