: CD player into 91 Brougham?

I'm considering fitting a new CD player in place of the original Radio/Cassette player. I talked to two big-box stores about this and they are quite up on bypassing the stock under-dash amp and quoted very reasonable installation charges.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any particular recommendations for a good model dash player unit that would have a green display (to match the stock digital dash) and be a straight fit to use the stock speakers. I'm not looking for a mobile boom-box, just a simple upgrade to CD capability.

Why not go with the optional factory CD player? Or, your tape player can be modded with a direct input to connect an MP3 player...

Or you could do like I did and get a late-90's Buick radio. It fits right in nicely and sounds a ton better.

Thanks for that Greg. THAT'S the thread I was looking for because I knew this had been discussed before. That Buick installation looks totally factory which is what I'm after......AND I could still play some old cassettes.:cool2:
