I am a new catera owner (one week), and words can't express how much i love this car. The only concern i have is that when i play an audio CD that i made off my computer, there is constant static on every track, on every CD that i made using "memorex" CD-Rs. However, when i play a regular CD album bought from a store, it's crisp clear like it should. I've got a 12 CD changer in the trunk, and stock Bose system. Someone please tell me if they had/have this problem and what to do. Music in a car means everything. Someone please help...

I have had the same problem. In my case it was solved when I used a different PC to burn the CDs.
It may be a software conflict or defects in the current one what originates the problem. My knowledge about software is very limited, but that is what a geek friend told me. There are guys here that can correct or verify this.

Another posibility: some old CD players have problems with burned CDs.

Do some troubleshooting while you get more ideas from other members:

Try playing in your car some CDs burned in a different computer, using the same software and a different one (musicmatch, winamp, windows media player, etc).
Try playing the ones that make the problem in your CD player in a newer car and/or home system.

Please post the results of your experiments.
