I was at one of the Caddy dealerships in San Antonio today. Tons of people standing around a yellow 2010 Camaro--Corvette engine and all. $42k or so. If this is a prototype, it will be destroyed instead of being sold. I meant to look for the VIN, as prototypes supposedly do not have a VIN.

Engine sounded stout like any vette would. I still like the 96 Fleecewood Broughams, especially the wheelbase (ride) on the Fleecewood.

I should have known this thread was a crock of shit when I saw that it was supposedly about a 2010 Camaro, yet only had ten replies.

Here, I believe, is a production model that was at the Test Track Pavillion in EPCOT. I was talking to one of the GM guys and he told me this had the six in it and was more of a standard equiped model. Still a handsome vehicle (at least to me).

The wheels make it look like it should be a 1LE.

Yes, the picture denotes standard fare. Wheels can be changed; especially cheapo ones that are shown here.

I still disbelieve Big Bird, though, and will continue to do so until he can post pictures or provide a news article or something similar.

I have high doubts that even the lowliest Camaro model comes with STEEL wheels. Im sure the production base models will just have ugly alloys, but not steel.

The steel wheels remind me of a story I read in C&D some years back, about the old Dodge Chargers. A guy and some of his buddies went and bought an old 6-cyl Charger for $500; it was a "Deputy Special" with no carpets, vinyl everything, a thingy to step on to clean the windshield, a 3-speed manual, and fixed rear windows. It was a terrible car, hot in the summer, cold in the winter, leaky, uncomforatble, etc. Some guy later bought it for many thousands of dollars once they started to appreciate, dropped a 440 Super-commando in it, and wrapped it around a tree. Yay. I'll probably still go test-drive a Camaro once they hit dealerships, assuming GM survives that long (I hear they are expected to declare Bankruptcy on Tuesday. Yay Tuesday. GM And Sirius/XM expected to declare bankruptcy, and 1/3 of the nation's TV channels will go dark. I can't wait.)

I almost like the wheels, in that, I like the direction they were trying to go, but I think it needs some more polishing. Remids me of the Buick Rallye wheels from the 60's and 70's

On closer thought, they resemble these GMC wheels a lot more closely

How many points do I get for posting a caballero?
