This is an STS-V engine and trans from an 06. WOW CaptainFishpond 02-12-09, 03:30 PM Even better. Much better. AJxtcman 02-12-09, 07:33 PM Wow, pics soon please! I need to ask if I can post them. submariner409 02-12-09, 08:21 PM This is a Northstar tuning forum...Why not ??? We now need to get into a FWD - RWD distinction, because the two drivetrains are as night and day when it comes to mods and maintenance. dkozloski 02-12-09, 09:04 PM One huge benefit is that there is no excuse for not having a real exhaust system with a RWD insallation. Didn't you tell them your still working on a Ford!!! LOL AJxtcman 02-13-09, 07:47 AM What are you up to... Didn't you tell them your still working on a Ford!!! LOL It isn't like that. :alchi: The car won't run. I need to dissable the "VATS" and turn off some other items to get them going again on the build. I will be doing either another "Tune" for them on that PCM or they will send me a second one to spend some time on. Highline Cady 02-13-09, 08:01 AM Does look like a sweet project. That's the blown 4.4? Are they swapping in engine and trans? May as well swap the heated seats also.:D AJxtcman 02-19-09, 02:52 PM http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd25/AJxtcman/57%20Chevy/57engine2.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd25/AJxtcman/57%20Chevy/57engine.jpg AJxtcman 02-19-09, 09:57 PM The first tune out to get the guy going. The car won't run with out the VATS disabled. AJxtcman 02-24-09, 09:18 PM Good news the car runs. PSRmark 02-25-09, 08:31 PM By chance are you working with Joe Ellis from classic wire on this? I ask because he had been calling me non stop to figure out his VATS problem AJxtcman 02-25-09, 11:55 PM By chance are you working with Joe Ellis from classic wire on this? I ask because he had been calling me non stop to figure out his VATS problem The shop I did my work for is located down I85 from my new house in Rock Hill SC. The guy with the Turbo Northstar in the back of the Mazda truck got us hooked up. The shop has built some very impressive show cars. I would like to know more about what you have done to get the motor running? Any help you can offer would be great! These are great motors and our next project is to put a supercharged one in a 57 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. Don brewhog55 07-06-09, 12:40 AM AJ P.S. I guess I am too new to this forum because it won't let me send you a PM. Don | |
