: Classy 2002 Deville Wood Grain Double Din Install

02-10-09, 09:18 PM
I have modified an installation kit to house a Clarion Double Din stereo. It took some time but it all goes to show if you're creative you can do anything. I have seen some pretty awesome aftermarket projects and that is what inspired me to do my own. I have actually made a Web site to show each and every step from beginning to end for all those Do It Yourselfers and have also made a couple videos as well.

The kit was modded and Wood Grained so it was as close to the factory setup as possible, I was actually thinking of wood graining the climate controls too to get that full wood grain look.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!! I think the climate controls would over do the wood grain, but that's just me. That's especially awesome since you DID IT YOURSELF!!!

Is this doable in a Seville? I'd imagine it wouldn't be much different. I've wanted a double-din touchscreen for the longest time...great job by the way! looks absolutely amazing!

not bad. only thing i would like to have seen is the unit to be a litte more flush mounted.

seville owners....ive done this, with good results. BUT, it took alot of time, and cutting of metal, and broken rotozip blades!!! i will try to post pics of mine some time

nice clean job though

Would anyone laugh at me if I woodgrained the exterior of my car? I want to look like I'm driving a wooden Cadillac STS. I didn't even know they made woodgrain vinyl, lol. Thanks for the post.
