I never seem to have the right tool for what I'm working on, so I thought I would start a thread where members can post their favorite tool, most used, most helpful, time-saving, "homemade" tools, etc. I guess I'll start:

Not really a tool, but Harbor Freight Tools sells a bag of 1/2" shop brushes for a few bucks. They are excellent for spreading grease, anti-seize, adhesive, etc. They get into tight spaces and are disposable.

.........one of those magnetic tipped thingys that extends like a radio antenna and allows you to fish out the dropped nuts and bolts.

A good set of folding Torx keys - same idea as a set of folding Allen
wrenches.
