I just found these - most updated pics/info on the net about the V coupe. I wonder how much less it weighs and if it shares the same subframe...

The car will most likely be on the heavy side as it will share the same platform as the sedan model. Unfortunately this story is dated as they have delayed the coupe (1) year.

Thanks,

http://www.leftlanenews.com/cadillac-cts-coupe.htmlIt shares the same bones as the sedan. OldRoadDawg and I were talking to a GM engineer at the Cadillac Driving Labs event at Monticello back in November. He said the weight would be just about the same as the sedan, as most sedan base coupes are these days...

if it weighs the same that kinda defeats the purpose. Either way the sedan looks 100x better.

This thread reminded me that NAIAS was going on right now. (man it's been quiet this year) So I went and looked and no CTS Coupe. Only the CTS Sport wagon, 2010 SRX, and that Converj electric thingy (concept) that looks like a coupe.

The previous gen Grand Prix came in 2 and 4 door. The 2 door weighed about 75 lbs lighter, or translated, less then intestinal earthquake produced by the Baconator I just had. Youd probably save more weight saying no to the panoramic roof.

That being said...Id bet a near 200+ lbs weight difference between a fulled loaded 4 door V, and a manual trans no sunroof V coupe.

PS. The V Coupe is a year away? Really? Patience really is a virtue, I guess!

Am I missing something? I see no new information about a V coupe.

That's pretty much it. It's delayed for now and possibly will never see the light depending upon GM's future.

1.5 years to save up. Doubt that the V-series will be released at the same time.

Here's another story, basically the same.

Fine looking automobile but i'm ordering a sedan as soon as the seats are available again!
