I used the peripheral electronics module and everything besides the steering wheel buttons works perfectly.
I didn't like how the radio stuck out past the stock bezel. I couldn't find a double din dash kit so I made my own.
I used fiberglass and made my own mold. I have to get a better matching paint, but it will definately do for now.

Does anyone have any constructive criticism or comments?

Thanks, I know you're the audio guru here, so that means alot.
Now if I could just find some paint to match the interior colors, it would be perfect.

if you head to any major home builders place
like home depot or busy beaver
take the OE radio with you
they can match that color pretty damn well
i should get you to make the double din bezel for my 98 Camaro

That's an idea. I was thinking about taking it to a place here that does car and bike decals and seeing if they can wrap it in wood vinyl

I had the same problems when installing my HU. I actually cut a little of the plastic in the rear of the console to make it drop back in farther...
Looks good, and great work on the DIY part... no one needs to pay for something they can do themselves....
heres a pic of mine... so you can see where my HU comes to

Mine had an aluminum bracket behind the plastic, I didn't want to cut into something that I couldn't see the back of.
