Have you guys thought about removing the little GM symbol down by the V symbol? It comes of very easy with some fishing line, some heat from a hair dryer, and goo gone. I bet it would make the side of the car look that much better.

Be the first to De-:v: you'r '09+ :v:.

I debadged mine, as I got tired of every kid in an SRT-4 trying to race me when I had my wife and kids in the car. It really got annoying :D.

A lot of the V1 guys also got LS6 embz to put on the car in place of the CTS logo's. They are an homage to the Z06, which we shared an engine with. They are very nice quality. It's the only emb I have on my entire car now.

Food for thought.

EDIT:

Embs available through Car Motorsports:

Here is what the LS6 one looks like:

They might be able to mock one up that says LSA, that is similar to the new ZR1 logo, since the two engines in these cars are very similar.

The GM logo mentioned here is well known to the Corvette owners as the "chicklet".

I personally left mine on, a sort of respect thing to the folks that built the car.

:yeah:

You wouldn't take the Porsche shield off a GT2. I don't get the removing the GM badge.

Nutz I agree with you GM/Cadillac did a heck of a job on this car and I plan to leave the GM badge on my V2 out of respect.

If somebody doesn't know a Cadillac is built by General Motors then http://www.ciws.net/smiles/kissmyarse.gif

As far as respect to GM, it's under the hood and reads GM Performance Division. :D

As a GM shareholder and die hard GM loyalist, I plan to keep the GM logos and the V badges. I agree that we should show some respect to the people that built our amazing supercars!

Here in car crazy L.A., nobody could careless about my CTS-V. Not one person has even noticed the car.

True, and that's why I wouldn't take the Cadillac ornament off my V if I had one and why I didn't take the Corvette emblem off my Z06. However, if Porsche started sticking "Volkswagon-Audi-Group" emblems on their cars I bet they wouldn't make it past dealer prep.

Yes, I did de-chicklet my vette.

SG5 years ago I never would've imagined buying any domestic car--much less a Cadillac. I'm proud to own American for the first time--and I'm leaving the chicklet on out of respect for my Dad's '69 442.

Back around 1970 or thereabouts, IIRC the Cadillacs also had the GM chiclet on them. It's the bodystyle of the one that's pictured on a Roxy Music album cover from back then (the 69-71 Fleetwood/Deville, I believe); at least on the Fleetwoods I think they had this, but I may be confusing it with something else. When I was about 19, I lived in a neighborhood in L.A. where someone around the corner had a '70 Fleetwood parked curbside... black on black, with the door-panel "FLEETWOOD" lettering (where the "SUPERCHARGED" is on the STS/XLR-V's). Absolutely beautiful cars, those. The true hallmark of luxury.
