Interesting at the 3:41 mark it is noted that the tires are SUMMER tires.

Yes, thanks for sharing! I loved watching it!

Our cars are bad ass! Nobody makes a car for the price point like the CTS-V!

He said "flared" too. Are we flared compared to CTS?

I expected a much better for a 1/4 mile time. especially considering the 0-60

That track didn't look like the ideal setting for ultra fast times. There was quite a bit of wheel spin at launch.

I personally witnessed 1/4 mile at Milan dragway of 12.2 @121 for the manual and 12.3@ 121 for the auto, back in October, and, posted video of one run by the auto of 12.4 @ 121.

While at the Caddy driving lab at Monticello, the Head Engineer let me in on a little secret---that they actually have gotten better times when timing on blacktop NOT at a track, and that they have tested it on Drag Radials. He just laughed and said mid elevens are no problem.

They made a comment about an optional track brake package with red calipers and two-piece rotors. I don't see that on the online build site. Does anyone have more info?

It's a dealer installed option that is not yet available.

Trapping 121mph stock? That is freaking awesome! So much better than all of the damn 115-116mph traps I've seen in the mags. Even lowly C63/IS-F/M3 have been trapping 112-115mph so I was hoping the 556hp V2 would trap at least 5mph faster!

The only real performance difference between the track brakes and the stock ones are the rotors. I'm not sure what dealers will be charging for this track brake package when it becomes available (the rotors are the hold-up right now).

In the end, it's not really worth it unless you HAVE to have the red calipers. The calipers are identical (just red), the pads are as well. And, the rotors will be available through SPO at some point. So, you'd be better of financially by just waiting for them, and buying them directly from gmpartsdirect or somesuch. You'll probably save a good deal of money.
