I stole this original pic from a forum member; I cannot find the original post, but thank you to whomever snapped this great pic of a sexy 09V's front end! If you want me to remove, please let me know; if you know who took it, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.

I photoshop'd the front grills black, as I plan on doing when I eventually get one. One pic is formatted for regular screens and one is for wide screens. Enjoy!

LOL someone reported the post and had the "porn" removed from my thread title. This forum is getting softer and softer... Cadi should not have made an automatic V2 :rant2: :stirpot:

You knew it was coming... Here's a photoshop of the CadV's side shot, blacked out; chrome trim is blacked out, tails are slightly tinted, wheels are blacked out, windows have been tinted more, and the car is lowered a bit ;)

I know I know, I have too much time on my hands! Enjoy!

Is the side vent not blacked out in my pics? Am I missing something?

the cadillac kid
01-12-09, 04:01 PM
LV_V I wish you had black-chromed the side vent.

black-chrome still has some shine to it.
that picture, the side vent is totally blacked out & 100% invisible. I'm curious what a little hint of shine (a black-chromed vent) would do for the side-view of that car.

like the finish on these CCWs http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u150/onebadcad/Darrens2cars013.jpg

I believe Lord Vader just retired his 87 Buick Grand National and now owns an 09 V2! :worship:

To set that off you'd also need to crack open those headlights and paint them matte black on the insides. That would look nasty :D

Nice!! But the brake ducts/fog light housing and front end skirts(and the rear around the pipes) all need to be in CF. Hope you're reading this Dr. Design!!

It's funny you mention that, because the Vs actually have "de-blinged" headlights compared to the regular CTS. There's still some chrome in there right around the bulb, but the areas surrounding the actual lighting element are all gloss black instead of chrome. It's a nice, subtle change that I never noticed in the promo shots or at NAIAS last year.

I was going to post up a "things I didn't notice about the V until I saw it in person" thread, but decided not to.

Very interesting find Tony! Thats odd... I wonder why they opted not to use the same headlamp assembly?

post pics as soon as you get them. I'm very interested in this approach. What is the cost for the process?

Razorecko
01-16-09, 10:32 PM
$700 for the black chrome and than roughly another $200 for packaging and shipping. Not the cheapest but their quality is superb. Will def post pics when i get them. Should be 4-6 weeks as turnaround for black chrome is long. Its easier to buy a spare set than just swap w/ the stockers when I get the V than put the V on stands and let her sit for a month w/ no shoes.
