I have a 96 Fleetwood and I'm trying to replace the O.E.M stereo with a aftermarket but haven't been able to locate a harness for installation. If somebody can please help me out or even point me in a direction to locate a harness I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

After reading this link you'll probably just do like me and pay a good shop to do a hard rewire to your aftermarket radio. Its a PITA!

I was under the impression the 96 uses a 1 peice radio, all in 1 unit
I know for sure its different then the 93-95 external amp version

this is from the archives
the 96 Fleetwood has the amp back in the Radio unit! so there is no extra AMP in the car! all is together in the head unit. I found it out after I bought a Cd Radio from a 96 Fleetwood. Doesnt match into the 95 fleetwood. So I have it

this site wouldnt let me post the link, but it is as I stated 96 used a completely different radio(all in 1) then the earlier 93-94-95's:D

interesting, so they had to use a different harness for the cd cars
so the 96 cd unit is not the same as the 93-95? or is it?

cd unit from 92-96 on fleet is the same as the bose unit on eldo/sev and active audio in devilles
all cadillac cd players were externally amped as part of the premium sound system
all are also interchangeable they only differ by the label on the HU saying BOSE or ACTIVE AUDIO or SYMPHONY SOUND
