what engine mods does it have to pull off 800hp?

Yeah, it would be nice to know that the did to the engine as well as what they altered in the rear-end.

I'd be sure as sh*t that the auto wouldnt be able to take 800hp.

I dont think they did anything to the rear end- they only mentioned engine mods and the exhaust.

If that's the case, all the arguments in the other threads about breaking 500 hp at the rear wheels causing rear problems are rubbish! I understand that the issues are more about durability (which they don't have to worry about), but if they only made front-end changes, this is absolutely telling. How do we get the list of all the alterations they made?

The previous generation V has a very weak rear, this new '09 V has its rear built like a tank.

My understanding as well, but there seemed to be a lot of worry in other threads about the rear-end durability.... I would love to get a little over 600hp at the flywheel and I would be happy (happier?). For some reason, there's the need to always get more than you're given ;)

Just received an email from a good friend here in Phoenix to remain un-named. But GM gave that car to Lund (No Vin Number) for modification purposes. It has been shipped back to GM and "crushed"........Damn Damn Damn ! ! ! !

Yeah....sure it was. I wonder who is driving it around or where it is locked up. Maybe over in one of the performance division garages.

I can't wait to see what its top speed will be. The Jaguar XFR hit 225 at the Salt Flats earlier this year. (As a former Jag owner, I would like to see the V fly past that mark, which I'm sure it will.)
