So I've had my Allante for nearly 3 years now , in that time the only deliberate sound I ever hear in the car is the turn signal chime ( kinda wimpy, and annoying, but I've accepted it)
I've never had a "key in ignition" chime or buzzer, or fasten seat belt, light left on, anything like that, should there be one? and if so where is it?
I ask because today when I parked my car off, and got out I heard what sounded like one of those types of buzzers or chime module's "trying" to work, but only intermittently, and only for a fraction of a second after the car was off and I was out of it, AND the door was shut..kind of an "einkk.. EEINKK EEINKK....CLIK CLIK" with a good 10 OR 20 seconds between each noise..This scared me a bit, fearing that this is some electrical device that is failing in an ON position and will drain my battery.. it hasn't, but I know our little Italian beauties are prone to such things..
Any advice as to what I should replace or at least check is appreciated, as well as where it's located on the car.

Thanks, Matt

With thre key left in the ignition and the driver door open, you should hear the turn signal chime but at a different rate. The chime is built into the gauge cluster. So no module can be replaced. Turn on the headlights manually and exit the car, you should hear it as well.

I believe that the turn signal chime is, indeed, in the gauge cluster, but the module for "key in ignition, lights on, seat belt fasten, etc." is located behind the glove box; I replaced mine a year ago when the original unit stopped working.

Thanks for the info guys, now another question, is this module Allante specific? is it still available new? can I pick it up out of another Cad at a salvage yard?
