ok in a 95 deville what is the delco part # on the alternator? i am looking to ugrade and was going to buy a 180amp alternator but the dealer told me that the oringal is larger than 180 so im kinda baffled anyone know the original or if you know the part # i can find it myself...thanks

OEM was 140 amp Delcotron with a boosted idle performance curve.

see im adding a 1500 and a 400 watt amplifier...and will really only listen to it when im driving (not idle) i dont want my electrical sytem to suffer because i want it loud, do you think the 140 is enough if i got the original rewound and ran 2gauge wire to the battery?

hey bringing this one back. HOw did it turn out? I'm also looking for an alternator for my '94 STS. thinking about getting a custom one for 200a. anyone know of a good place to get one or opinions on what to do. ill be putting in a 1400 watt system. thanks.
