Another plea for help/advice! When I press the 'lock' button on my key fob, the doors lock OK and the indicator/hazard lights flash to confirm.

Then, after maybe 20 seconds the lights flash on/of for 15-20 seconds, go off for another 15-20 seconds then bigin to flash again! And so on.

Can anyone point to me the source of the problem.

All advice gratefully received.

My 98 STS has just started doing the same thing, for about four minutes, then lights stop flashing.

Any ideas?

Maybe something to do with the security system cause when it goes off the horn honks and the lights flash. Maybe it wont happen if you set the system by having the door open then locking it and then close the door. Still it shouldn't happen anyways, weird.

Are you getting any codes?

Lock the doors with the fob then unlock them with the key.If the alrarm goes off press unlock on the fob and see if that doesnt cure it. Also you might need to replace the battery in the fob.

How about a battery disconnect and see what happens.
