Your dealing with OBD 2 which to my knowledge has not been successfully reprogramed.

At least your not limited to 112 MPH like my SLS was. Boy was I happy when I first looked at my STS's door jam and saw the Z rating! I bought it the next day!

I have a 96 SLS. I'm new to the Caddy. Is the rating your talking about the tire speed rating? I would like to know cause mine has an S speed rating. Am I looking at the wrong info, or if this is correct what does the S rating allow for?

You will be speed limited to 112 mph. Sucks, that is why i bought the STS with the Z rating. That and the fact that my SLS is not driveable (frame damage=salvage)

My 96 STS goes at least 130 (had it there the other night) and I do not have the Z rated tires.

Then you most likely have the S speed rating, which limits the speed to 130 MPH.
