I have an '04 ESV Platinum with 52k miles, as a company car. I am leaving the company, and have the option purchase for about $13k.
It is in above average condition physically (I just have to replace that chrome edge piece on the running board). Mechanically, it has been very well maintained, and had no major issues.
At that price and condition - would you buy it?

I sure would, especially since you know the history and assuming your company has been paying the lease. For $13K you get all the same vehicle and features as the guy/gal who paid $60-65K 4 years ago. Only exception would be if you can buy a similar Escalade in your area for less money.

I am not sure of the value of these trucks these days, but I guess I am assuming it must be worth at least $13k.

I don't care what area you are in that truck with those miles are definately worth buying. No mechanical problems... Sounds like a no brainer! Do it

I figured I would buy this one. We had considered trading it for a CPO SRX, but I think we will hold tight and do this.
Thanks for the input.

Yep, go for it. Great deal.

In this area, that would be a steal....
I also agree that knowing the service history is very worthwhile.... which is a moot point in this case, since the price is so low...

On this one, I know the history, because I've been driving it since new. It's done.
