We were sitting around, unsure of what to do. Nowhere to go, no place to shop, and nothing to do.

I decided we'd go on a hunt for food. The three of us got into the Frontier and headed to Boone's Crossing, the record-holding largest strip mall in the world just two miles west of home.

Among the places open:
Wal-Mart
Mimi's Cafe
Homestyle Buffet

Mimi's has crap service, Homestyle has crap food, but you can never go wrong with Wally World!

I picked up three turkey drumsticks, 1lb of mashers and country gravy, 1lb of mac and cheese, and a jug of iced tea.

After entering the store, Chris and my brother went to electronics, so I was left pushing the cart full of sad looking "Oh, that poor guy has no family :(" food items by myself. The store was mostly empty except for some foreigners who don't really follow American holidays.

$12 fed three people with tons of leftovers, and there were already rolls in the fridge. w00t!

We ate, watched Family Guy, and went back to our rooms.

Mom decided to serve Thanksgiving dinner a day late this year so everyone could come, so the real thing happens tomorrow!

Can't go wrong with Wal-Mart, especially with there prices! In this crappy town, it's the place to hang out on a Friday night. Main reason why I hate going.

Don't feel bad..I'm home alone with a turkey medallion Lean Cuisine and a bottle of my mom & dad's homemade strawberry wine..which is becoming surprisingly progressively better with each glass.

Oops..the microwaved just beeped at me..time for the feast!

Walmart is an interesting thing for me, I love their cheap prices, I hate the stores principles.

I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart, too depressing for me to stay in there longer than three minutes. At least Sam's Club has the membership thing going which makes you feel special.

If you're ever in Indiana, PA, make sure to go to Wal-Mart on a Friday or Saturday night. Tons o' hotties from the local University ready to mingle...

Haha...when I go to the local Wal-Mart, I feel like I'm on welfare. The place is dirrrrrty. Target is MUCH better.

Wally World can suck a bag of d1cks.....The current state of the corp. would make Sam Walton roll in his grave...
Everything is wrong with that iconic shithole.

I'm with Chad on the Target. Their prices are pretty close to Wal-Mart, and I don't feel like I'm walking around a shelter while I'm in there.

The BF rush at the Valley Stream, LI Wal-Mart results in two deaths:

http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2008/11/28/2008-11-28_worker_dies_at_long_island_walmart_after.html

A few years ago, a co-worker was hit in the head by a DVD player at Wal-Mart. Shoppers were standing on the pile of boxes throwing them into the crowd.

Seems to happen every year, somewhere. Trampled to death because they're dumb.

There's a Target 30 seconds away from me down the street. They have a nice selection of lamps.

I hate Wal Mart but sometimes it cant be avoided in a small town.

Our Thanksgiving for 9 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant consisted of:

Chicken Salad
Veggie Tray w/Dip
Mexi Dip
Grapes
Walnut Cinnamon Bread
Mulled Apple Cidar

11lbs of Prime Rib with Au Jus and Horseradish sauces
Mashed Potatoes w/gravy
Sweet Potatoes
Oyster Dressing
Sage Dressing Balls w/gravy
Green Beans
Broccoli Casserole
Asparagus w/Hollandaise
Carrots
Deviled Eggs
Cranberry Salad
Braided Parmessian Bread w/herb butter

Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip Pie
French Silk Pie
Pumpkin Roll
Chocolate Fudge
Peanut Butter Fudge
Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Bars

Lots of Bourbon, Vodka and Wine.

Needless to say we have enough leftovers to feed Grants Army.

Yea, but how's their ceiling fan selection? That's the true measure of a discount or home repair store.

...........Don't sweat the small stuff. At the rate the advertising and store stocking is going, we'll be seeing Valentine's candy about 13 December. Easter bunnies at Christmas.

Wal-Mart is OK. Target is better. But I personally love Frys Electronics where the employees don't know their A$$ from a hole in the ground and it's the ONLY place in the world where you can buy food, electronics and a port-a-potty all under one roof. Talk about versatile... :histeric:
