See more (http://www.netcarshow.com/porsche/2010-panamera/) Vesicant 11-26-08, 12:20 PM The side profile is the best angle of the car. I kinda get ferrari/corvette influence from the design standpoint.
It'd be better if it were still mid/rear engined. Passengers probably wouldnt like that though ... I~LUV~Caddys8792 11-26-08, 12:43 PM Man, I dunno what to think... I like the idea of a Porsche sedan (if for nothing more than to compete with the M5, Quattroporte, CTS-V and RS6), but that design is odd. It needs a longer rear deck...that looks is fine on a 911, Boxster or Cayman, but it's goofy on a sedan.. And in the profile view, I almost see a bit of....Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Avenger in it...mainly due to the way the curve of the c-pillar clashes with the clearly defined beltline and hard edges in the body lines and vents behind the front wheels.. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w52/jdinmaui/omg-do-not-want.jpg
Absolute FAIL Florian 11-26-08, 01:02 PM FAIL
Porsche engineers all need enemas after that bloviated attempt.
F The Tony Show 11-26-08, 01:32 PM Looks like the bastard child of a Cayman, a Touareg and a Crossfire.
:ack: Lord Cadillac 11-26-08, 01:33 PM I thought I saw a little Chrysler Crossfire in the back...
And in the profile view, I almost see a bit of....Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Avenger in it...mainly due to the way the curve of the c-pillar clashes with the clearly defined beltline and hard edges in the body lines and vents behind the front wheels.. It's like some kind of cross between a crew cut and a mullet. It looks great head-on, but everything else is a mess. Kinda like the Cayenne. And I hate to say this because I'm a Porsche fanboy :(
I like the Lamborghini Estoque a lot better, hopefully they put it into production.

Trying to incorporate it to a sedan fails. The front end could work but making a car that long ending in a hatchback just doesn't work. Maserati and Lamborghini just schooled Porsche in the 4 door category... But overall, not a bad looking piece.
I agree with Gary, the Estoque is a better looking car. eyekandyboats.inc 11-26-08, 07:03 PM rs6 would still eat them alive. misfit6794 11-26-08, 07:06 PM Agreed that porsche shouldn't be making a sedan, but its less of a disgrace than the suv they are making. I like everything but the back, that really ruins it, almost looks like a wagon. Cliff8928 11-27-08, 03:17 AM That rear quarter view makes it look like a 4-door crossfire. thebigjimsho 11-27-08, 03:18 PM German G35 Sedan ?That is an insult to the G35. At least the G35 is well proportioned... blue07cts 11-28-08, 02:25 AM that lambo sedan is AMAZING the porsche...... well lets just say if it were dude not even paris hilton would F*#K it! |
