: Get a free Dr. Pepper

Thanks to Guns & Roses' crappy new album.

I'll buy it. If it's half as good as Use Your Illusion, it'll be money well-spent. And the best part is that it's only the first of 3 albums coming out between now and 2012. I'll enjoy my Dr. Pepper. If the album sucks, at least I got a free pop.

I'm so sick of Dr. Pepper, but even if the album came with a free can of Mountain Dew, I'd still buy it.

After hearing some leaked tracks, I was less than impressed. Honestly, Axl - It took you fifteen years to come up with this?

I don't even like Dr. Pepper, but I'll crack a can while listening to the first new GNR since the nineties.

For the record, "Use Your Illusion" was pretty good. Even UYI 2 has grown on me...

Dr. Pepper=carbonated prune juice.

Use your Illusion I & II was EPIC...one of the best albums of the '90s. Appetite For Destruction was great too, but it clearly wasn't as mature or thought out as UYI.

I consider Appetite as one of the two best debut albums of my generation. Pearl Jam Ten is also in the running and hard for me to pick one over the other.

I bought the album this morning and it is "the shit".

I'd give it 4/5 stars. For comparison purposes, I'd give "Use Your Illusion I" 4.5 stars and "Use Your Illusion II", along with "Appetite For Destruction" gets 4.

I listened to the album on their myspace page, and it's definitely something I wouldn't pay for. Quite underwhelmed after all the hype. It just doesn't sound right without Slash, the new guitar player is too generic. The album as a whole to me sounds too much like a cut and paste studio job rather than a band playing together.

"...The new guitar player is too generic..."

How dare you insult Buckethead!

What's that you say? He got dropped for some generic guitarist a while back? Oh, carry on.

Yeah, GNR has pretty much devolved into Axl Rose plus whatever musicians can put up with him...
