I would be most appreciative if those who have installed PilotHID 880 4300K conversion kit (hereafter referred to as PHID) in their Escalade FOG lamps would offer input. I seem to have The Dain Bramage BIG TIME! :thepan:

I expected the wiring to be obvious. I was wrong. I expected the Engrish install manual exceeding helpful not. I was right.

In the first picture, an overview, moving left to right one can observe

PICTURE OVERVIEW (I'm even screwing up posting pictures. Click link)

1) One blue and one black flat blade terminals that are attached to item #3

2) The POWER CONNECTION (with RED rubber seal) coming from vehicle wiring loom that previously plugged into stock fog lamps.

3) A CONNECTION (with YELLOW rubber seal) that was included in PHID. The blades (item #1) ran through two of the four holes in the lamp assembly boot going nowhere. The lamp assembly was already wired to the male and female plugs (item #5) As I couldn’t figure out what role item #3 and the ‘going nowhere’ item #1 blades was, I extracted the blades from the lamp assembly boot.

4) A pair of male and female plugs hardwired to ballast.

5) A pair of male and femal plugs hardwared to lamp.

As can be seen in the overview photo, items #4 and #5 have been connected.

QUESTION ONE: HAVE I SCREWED ANYTHING UP YET?

Below is a close up of, top to bottom items #1, #2, and #3

I assumed item #2 would plug into open port on the ballast.

Item #2 does NOT fit into the open port on the ballast, not easily, not firmly, not after using a small screwdriver to open up the female parts of item #2. Just doesn’t go, at least for me.

Item #3 fits into the open port on the ballast.

QUESTION TWO: IF THE ANSWER TO QUESTION ONE IS “NO.” WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

They only go together one way.It should be obvious or maybe somethng is mis-matched.
