THis could be a motor failure or binding or possibly an electrical issue. I don' know the specifics on your car. On my 85 Eldo with 4.1 engine I can go into a solenoid cycling mode. That extends and retracts the ISC plunger. If that works, then it might just need an adjustment. If that fails, you have to do some more troubleshooting. You should really get the original Factory Service Manual. It guides you step-by-step on what to do for those codes in order to pinpoint the problem. No Chiltons manuals ! :) If you work on your car you must have the Manuals ! Cars are way too complex nowadays to just fix them by tweaking stuff here-and-there... Maybe someone here with the same engine as yours can offer additional hints. Peteski BeelzeBob 06-23-04, 12:57 AM Probably replacing the idle speed control motor will fix the problem. Use the search feature in the forum tool bar...type "idle speed control" or "idle speed control motor" into the subject drop down box and read my posts. Lots and lots of ISC info previously posted. dub 06-28-04, 01:00 PM thanks for the help everyone | |
