Ok, so I passed on the 95 DeVille Concours Presidential, it had a lot more mileage than I thought (214,000 miles, not kms) and had over 25 error codes on the OBD. Also needed an alternator. Now I'm looking at a 1975 Sedan DeVille with 60,000 miles, original paint (some rust bubbles but nothing through), comes certified. One of the biggest land yachts I have seen! Anyone have any advice for me on this one, i.e. what to look for? Anyone ever had a 1975? The seller is asking $1800, does this sound reasonable?

10-12 mpg around town, 15-16 on the highway, won't fit in most parking places, but other than that they are awesome safe cars that are pretty easy to work on and very dependable.

Yeah, i kinda figured they wouldn't be the best on gas, but it won't be a daily driver for me, I have a 07 Camry for that. Does anyone know if parts are readily available for them?

Cadillac made them as long and heavy as they ever where in the 1970`s-----back then all parking spaces were longer/wider than they are now so it you may be parking far away from others at the malls.I`ve seen the occasional Caddy land yacht from the 1960`s/1970`s at the malls and they are ALWAYS parked way out away from the other rides. That extra 15-24 inches in length really does make a difference in present day downsized parking spaces.
If the 1975 Deville is in good shape---$1800 is reasonable but ask him down a bit and adapt from there.

Alas, the body is rusted through and the wiring is shot. It wouldn't even stay running when I was looking at her. Too bad, if it had been kept up it would be a beautiful car. Back to the search for me :(

Keep the faith 95Prez! The problem is you (usually) have to sift through a lot of junk to get to that rare gem.
