Ok me and my friend just put in a lot of mods into this CTS-V and good god it roars, but why, every time I push down the gas this stench of rotten egg smell starts to sting my nostrils. The stench is so powerful! What do I do to stop this. I also added a Luxo wood shift knob its pretty nice I must say. Now can someone help out a jolly old man and his caddy over here. I can beat corvettes around here its crazy!

Headers/exhaust leak somewhere?

Do you have your cats? If not, it is probably the reason.

this thread sounds like B/S. but if you want my opinion it must be that "Luxo wood shift knob" goodluck with the sulfur smell

Some of my past cars would smell like sulfer or rotten eggs if the fuel injectors were all clogged up... but I doubt, if you just modded you car, that you got 800+hp with stinky old injectors. I would have to go with the catless exhaust option.. that seems most plasuable.

Of course it is also possible that a vette owner too a pee up by your windshield wipers which is now stinking and festering causing the smell. I hear that can be kind of hard to get that smell out.

When oxidation catalysts first came out, they occasionally converted some of the sulphur in the fuel to hydrogen sulfide. Could you have gotten some high-sulphur fuel combined with your cats?

I believe something is stinging your nostrils, but I'm not so sure that it is sulfur.
However, I am smelling something fishy emanating from your post.

A V with wood makes sense.
842HP without description or proof does not.

I think MOMO makes a wooden shift knob. If he is running that much power you know he didn't leave the stock slush stick in there... so I suppose that's plausible

I am interested in seeing how 800+ hp was attained. There are not many who would choose to do in on the V1 given it's 4000lbs lead slead. I would love to see the recipe for that kinda power. stroked LSx or massive kits to get up into that range.

For the smell, you're gonna wanna check this out (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douche).

For the horsepower, you're gonna wanna check this out (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie_detector).

Certainly not a few bolt ons,
Some serious mods to get that kinda hp. Believe me, I know
Even the drive train mods have to be serious.

Easy HP boost: Magic Marmalade Marinade in the orifice and a Tornado Trojan. We do it every day down in the old Seville threads. You could also try a (so-called) Cold Air Intake just behind the radiator. They're good for a minimum of 65 HP at cruise.
