Hello,
Thanks for the help in resetting the codes after an alternator change. Would love to know however, what codes 13, 44 and 52 mean. 1983 Eldorado with HT-4100. Thanks.
13 = o2 sensor not ready
44= lean exaust signal
52=ecm reset indicator

Make sure your O2 sensor is connected properly. If it is, you probably need a new one. This should correct codes 13 & 44. If you still get a code 13 with the new sensor, there is likely a wiring problem in the O2 sensor circuit.
The 52 just means the battery was disconnected since the last code reset.

I'm not sure why this is not mentioned here in Cadillacforums (or made into a sticky thread)...
There are several places on the web to get codes.

Look under the "codes" link.
And get the Original Factory Service Manual if you are serious about working on your car - it is a must !
