View Full Version : CCW Custom Wheel for "V" ssmith100 06-21-04, 05:17 PM I am 98% sure that this is a pic of the custom wheel that was made for the "V" in Florida. I am wating on 100% verification but I thought you guys might like to see it. In a polished finish this wheel could almost pass as a factory wheel (Same pattern minus one spoke). The guy who had them made had them powder coated.

Shane DgtalPimp 06-21-04, 05:41 PM hhmm, K. You smoking or drinking? :drinker
Dgtal ssmith100 06-21-04, 05:55 PM Yeah, had a slight malfunction there:rolleyes: . I think I actually like this wheel better than the 505. This wheel looks almost factory. Fully polished I think this would look very good on the "V".
Shane DgtalPimp 06-21-04, 07:09 PM “kkkkcck Ah, Huston were back on course, sorry for the delay. kkkcck”
Wheels look good. I agree on the near factory look. Any idea on prices?
Dgtal alexWS6 06-22-04, 09:56 PM That wheel looks awesome. If only it were a 3 piece and you could powdercoat just the centers :( ssmith100 06-22-04, 10:48 PM Had about a 45 minute coversation with John the owner today. They will be posting some polished pics of that wheel and another prototype tomorrow.
I'm still about 95% sure I'll be ordering the 505's by Thursday. Should have the wheels on by the middle of next week. I'll keep everyone posted.
Shane lasstss 06-23-04, 12:57 PM My test fit wheel from Boyds has shipped. I will post a pic when it arrives. Dreamin 06-23-04, 04:28 PM Shane... can you give us the highlights of what you learned in that 45 minutes conversation with John.
thx ssmith100 06-23-04, 05:49 PM Basically they will be posting up some pics of the polished version of the wheel above and another pic of a different cut wheel. Just got off the phone with John a little while ago and he said it would be tomorrow before they are posted. At this time they are only offering a 8.5x19 for the front and a 10x19 for the rear. The fronts will have about a 1" lip and the backs a 2" lip all backspaced to about 42mm. I have talked to a lot of vendors in my day and John seems to be top notch. Getting on a plane for Mexico:) until Monday in a couple of hours so if you guys want to see pics tomorrow you will have to go to www.ccwheel.com (http://www.ccwheel.com) and go to the forum section. In the wheel fitting forum there is a CTS-V thread started by TNT-V. That's were the pics will be posted. Talk to you guys on Monday.

John indicated that all his wheels are now available in a 6-lug...
I believe that means all these wheels:

Ideas on pricing?
Dgtal (dgtalpimp@pimpdaddy.com) ssmith100 07-01-04, 03:53 PM $2495.00 for wheels, $220.00 or so for air pressure sensors, and about $1,100.00 for tires. My 505's were $3490.00 shipped with tires and air sensors installed (Bought sensors myself). I hope they are here tomorrow but more than likely it will be Monday. John is awsome to deal with.

which brand tires? ssmith100 07-01-04, 05:51 PM I got Bridgestone S0-3 Pole positions. I wanted the Goodyear GS-D3's, but the 275 35 19's are on national back order. Had a set of S-03's on my Lexus and they are okay. Tire specs are 245 40 front, 275 35 rear.
