hi guys how are you, im justin. i have a 2002 sts w 104000 mi. if i were to press on the gas quickly whether driving or parked the motor bogs unless i let off. then ill let off and she'll smell like a old 72 buick's exhaust for a couple of seconds. pulled 2 codes dont remember the #s but it had to do with the map sensor intermittent high. could that affect the motor so drasticly like that...............? thank you guys

Read up and pull your Diagnostic Trouble Codes again. That's the key to correct diagnosis......but, yes, MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) plays a big part in controlling air/fuel ratios: mixture.
Also, a good throttlebody cleaning is probably a good bet, as is a new air filter.
Do some searching for things like throttlebody, MAP, MAF, idle passage cleaning, and similar.
