We know the price, and it's awesome. The reviews of the car are phenomenal. Now the production is starting on the exact date that Dualcams and I have been saying? This is outrageous- what is everyone going to get mad about now??? There must be something.......

Thanks for the update, Dualcams. Bring on the Vs!!! :lildevil:

Actually.....

What are the prices for the option packages and what are contained in them ? All I can find now is the starting MSRP for the base car.

:-)

The exact prices for the options haven't been posted on the GM Dealer site yet. According to my ordering guide, the initial plan to "package" the options did not pan out, as they are all listed individually now.

-Navigation
-Recaro seats
-Suede steering wheel and shifter
-Polished Wheels
-Ultraview sunroof

Most of those options are offered on the base CTS at two different price points, dependent on whether or not they're ordered in a package. I would assume that they'll be offered at he the lower of the two prices on the V, meaning $2,145 for Nav, $900 for Ultraview and $900 for Polished Wheels. The Recaros will likely be about $3,400, and the suede wheel and shifter ought to be about $400-500, making the total list of options approximately $8,000.

What's typical delivery of the car from build date?

tony--if I give you my order number--can you track production for me?? My dealership--while very helpful--is saying they don't have info that is already public on this forum. They did tell me-howoever- that when I drive to Monticello on the 8th of Novemebr--there is a strong chance it will be in my new V.

Tony, any word on when the optional Brembo track peformance brakes (with red calipers) will be available and/or price? Thanks

Production started on my 20th wedding anniversary? Same day that my SRT-8 blew it's rear differential? WTF?! If that's not an omen I don't know what is.

The V build is going very well. We are batch and holding the cars to recheck our quality. I have not seen any issues that are major and it seems like the quality it at the World Class level that I like. Lots of black cars. We are going to build 2000 in this block of V's expecting to be completed in mid Nov.

:o 2000 the first block!

That's the majority of the whole first model year of the V1...

Awesome.

I saw a silver one on the highway last week. I was in the left lane and it pulled up right behind me. It was dark out and I thought it was a regular CTS from the headlights. I changed my lane and it pulled up right next to me. Man was I shocked when I saw the V badge on the door.

Be aware that there are new model CTS owners who are putting :v: badges on their cars. We've spotted a black one driving around in our area that did it. So badge alone may just be another V badger. :v: :badger:

I agree, but for the 09 any Caddy person should be able to pick out the V with no questions. The hood and front grilles are a no mistaker. The standard CTS can't get the same grill design as the V, they are totally 2 different shapes this time around.

True but look at the posters statement, it was dark out with the other car's headlights on coming from behind. He gets a look when it's to his side and sees a V badge. Driving down the road at speed when it's dark isn't always the best time to examine the details of model differences. I'm not saying it wasn't a V, just pointing out there are some normal new model CTS owners who have chosen to badge their car.

The fastest I've ever seen a car go from production to the lot is 10 days. I'm sure they're going to be putting a little extra QC effort into these first cars to ensure A+ quality, so I'd expect to see the first cars hit lots sometime in early November.

Sorry I left out that we did take the same exit and I did see it at a red light. I'm sure it was a V. It may have been one of the GM execs around here.

By the way I just saw a red V in Southfield, MI, just outside Detroit. I'm 100 percent sure this time cause it was in daylight about 10 minutes ago.

We used to be a lot harder on NON supporting members. Now that I think about it, it used to be tougher all around.
Pony up the dough! You've all learned enough already.

The first few cars will be the best. You guys are lucky! I makin' an offer on a house. I have to wait. Mabey this summer.

They will have to sort out the first year bugs so time will tell.
