: Thinking of taking off running boards?

I posted mine up a while back its on here somewhere had them off because I crushed one of them putting her on a trailer when the tranny went out on a trip. Glad to have them back on would not recomend taking them off looks bad you can see the frame without squating down.

If you take them off you will be exposing the frame. You would in the very least need to paint the frame the same color as your truck. In my opinion, I would leave the boards on there...

You take off your running boaards and your leather is going to take the abuse. I figure that step really alleaviates the need for sliding accrost your seat to get siturated. Maybe your paint will take a beating too for rocks kicking up. I would look into black powdercoated nerf bars maybe.
