: Are Northstar Heads Rebuildable? Or disposable?

Are Northstar cylinder heads junk if the engine has lost oil pressure and begun to knock? I've had a couple engines that I pulled apart, and the camshafts run directly on aluminum- there's no bearings. If the aluminum is scored or pitted and worn, is there any way to rebuild the heads? Like turning the camshaft down 0.010" and installing bearings? What about the lifter/lash adjuster bores?

IMHO the heads are junk if the engine's lost oil pressure and worn, so I toss them in the scrap pile. Just wondering if anyone else has any opinions on this.
