Well first it was my gas gauge which when I start the car, goes all the way up to full and stays there even though Im on E most of the time.

But now, My mile gauge has went from 95000 somethin, (which it says on the last check up sticker) to 93000 somethin.... It went down around 2000 miles for no reason. Why is this happening and how am i suppossed to know the real miles on my car now.

Wow you drove 2000 miles in reverse! (Just kidding, I know that doesn't really happen. Sorry I don't have anything productive for you...)

start by replacing the gauge cluster and hope its not an electrical problem. Do you have a digital dash

Well it's coming up on Halloween. I'd be guessing your car is related to Christine... :lildevil:

The hearse at our Funeral home is built on a '91 Brougham with a digidash. If the ignition is on, the miles count up like crazy even when the car isn't moving. It has only 40 or 50,000 Kilometers, but reads that it's traveled 995,000 or so, and counting!!!

No guys I have a analog dash, You know, with the old rotating numbers... It dropped 2000 without me noticing somehow.

I have no idea haha.... It doesnt go past 99999 though so that could have something to do with it?

When it goes over 100,000 miles it should rotate all the way around and start back at zero. That is why a Caddy may have 150K miles but only read 50K on the dash.

I dunno, I wouldn't mind having a mile meter count backwards :-)
