There was a mention of it in my TV Spotters thread but I want to gather more knowledge about the car. The 87-89 Cadillac Voyage concept(s) are really interesting looking cars and they seem to feature more gizmos than today's Caddies. Why did they decide to scrap the project? Was it scrapped or did it just evolve into the 93-96 Fleetwood Broughams? Were any Voyages ever sold to people? I'd like to see one in person or even have the possible hope of owning one. I'd like to see more pictures of the Voyage inside and out and the engine too. The Solitare doesn't interest me too much.

it was just a concept car now its in a dark dusty corner of a GM building somewhere with all the other old concpet cars . they get to be taken out when a designer needs inspiration .

these cars are ususly hints at what future cars will be , if you look at the nose of the car you can see the front bumper and opverall nose design on the upcoming 94 deville/93 Fleet , the bumper with integarl air dam never made it on the fleet but the lines are definatly there on my deville ,just toned down a little

the beltline that goes all the way around the car also made it to the deville/fleet cars .the middle sections design ended up on the seville /sts

Here is another shot of this car... From this view, it screams fleetwood.

That car was on the cover of some magazine at that time, newsweek, or something like it, with the headline. THE CAR DETROIT MUST BUILD??

They could just put that model into production and claim it to be the new Fleetwood. If the Fleetwood was still in production that is probably what it would look like. Okay maybe Cadillac wouldnt call it a Fleetwood anymore but like a "new model". Call it "FTS"

I may not be recalling this correctly, but I seem to remember this car showing up in that film with Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock as a couple of police officers- I don't remember the title at all.

All I remember is it took place in the future and everyone ate at Taco Bell...

LOL... An interesting thing happened in the two posts above...

Anyhow... no, that car would NOT fly as todays fleetwood. It looks to me almost exactly like the OLD Fleetwood except for some rounded edges, no fins and the odd roofline which looks like it was eventually carried over to the Caprice, while the Fleetwood maintained a more chiseled appearance to its roofline. Especially with Art and Science, this car would be far too "smoothed out" to fit in A&S.

BTW... When I first saw this title I thought... Cadillac gets a Minivan!! LOL... Phew! That would have sparked some copyright suits.

I remember this car from when I was a kid. I've even posted pics of it in the RWD section before. It looks like the Caprice got the rounded roofline styling and shape the Fleetwood/Deville got the grille, the shape, and parts of the interior, Cadillac got the LED lights, the 4.5 HO is probably the Y code NorthStar. The steering wheel is a variation of the last Caddy wheel and current gen corporate wheel. The electronics are today's OnStar with Nav system. Wow, this car needs to be made now!! Thanks ssstealth for the brochure.

I thought this was a significant car because in 1988, every Cadillac dealer was telling me that rear wheel drive was dead and that there would be no replacement for the aging Fleetwood/Brougham "D" body that was being carried over from 1977.

I continued to drive my 1981 Fleetwood when I saw this concept because I knew that somebody at Cadillac still had some common sense. I was redeemed in 93 when the new Fleetwood was introduced with many of the styling cues of the Voyage. When the Corvette LT1 was placed into the car in 94, the deal was done. I sold my 81 Fleetwood with 330,000 miles on it and bought the 94.

It had its use..... Yeah I agree about the styling but update it and you've got a Full-Size RWD Caddy again with all of today's features. I'd say a lengthed, widened STS(equal or longer than the last gen Fleetwood) with 94-99 Deville vertical tail lamps(led of course) a classic styled Caddy grill. I think that might do it.

The problem with that is that it would cost too much to fuel. Something built on the 2WD Escalade Platform :D

Just messin'.

I never use the ESV, its got about <4,000 miles on it. Its losing value every day so i thought its time to sell. My uncle wants to buy her and cut her up.

Im looking at replacing with a used Bentley Arnage. My wife will also be replacing her DHS nextyear, so a common sence move would be to repo, i mean, use the Deville. :D

She likes the 06 DTS
