For those looking for a track oil with high levels of anti-wear additives, AMSOIL recently came out with a racing line of oils that don't comply with the latest API regulations. As such, these oils contain high levels of ZDDP anti-wear additives, but low levels of detergents. They do not meet owner's manual requirements, nor are they suited for daily driving.

Although I had been using a 10w40 at the track, they didn't come out with the new line of oils in a 40 grade so I ordered two cases of the 10w30. The 10w30 is on the heavy side for a 30 grade oil and with its high levels of anti-wear additives, it might work, at least in cooler temps. I'll likely try it at the track this fall sometime and see how my oil temps and oil pressures respond.
