Looking at buying a 1996 Camaro Z/28 Convertable
it has 89K on the clock very clean only downside is they said it has a slight leak in the HG
they are asking 2750.
I think its a steal but how hard is it to replace the HG on an LT1?

Easiest way to do a head gasket on the 4th gen is to drop the front cradle. Yes, the whole front suspension, the subframe, and the engine itself. While you're in there, slide in a nice cam, good valve springs, and a set of roller 1.6 rockers. Bolt on some long tube headers, too. You will have some serious fun with that car.
The head can be done with the engine in. Not fun, though. The engine is up underneath the cowl.
See if you can find video of the engine drop they did on Horsepower TV (project LS-GUN). You will see exactly what I'm talking about.

so basically it will be like a N* HG only i wont have to timesert instead ill have to have the heads worked over to ensure a good reseal
