Greetings all, I have some major electrical issues, and I'm looking for some diagnostic help. I've chased many threads looking for a solution, but it seems to be a unique problem.
1) unable to check/clear codes. Pushing the buttons only toggles the display.
2)constant battery drain of about 3 amps. unfused. (pulled fuses)
3)reading other similar posts point to retained power accessory module, or body control module. I do not have a factory service manual to assist diagnostic or locate components.
Any and all help will be appreciated.

Any ideas why I can not access codes via the digital display? Somehow I think the battery draining issue may be part of the problem. Any one seen a post that may be useful to me?

Put a 12v test light between the battery terminal and the battery cable. Start pulling fuses til the light goes out. Then you will know what circuit and accessories to start checking.

Thanks for the response, as I stated, unfused. I have pulled the fuses, the load is in something unfused, a relay?, I don't really know what else as I do not have the FSM or wiring diagram. I believe it is related to my cannot retrieve codes problem based on my limited wiring diagrams from Alldata, just a guess though.I mean I suppose it is possible for the digital display module to be bad, not allowing the 2 button push to work, but I don't have enough info to make any decision accurately. Leaning towards Retained Power Accessory Module, (which is NOT shown in the Alldata wiring diagram I have.) based solely on reading other posts.
